Rip City Craftsman designs, builds, and installs custom cabinetry, built-ins, architectural millwork, custom furniture, and specialty woodworking for residential and select commercial projects throughout Portland, Lake Oswego, West Linn, and the surrounding area.
We take on everything from individual furniture pieces and built-ins
to full-room cabinetry and larger architectural millwork packages, handling design, fabrication, and installation from start to finish.
Custom Cabinetry
Purpose-built cabinetry designed around the way you use your space, with materials, proportions, finishes, and details developed specifically for each project.
Built-Ins
Integrated storage, shelving, seating, and display elements designed around the room and intended to feel like they have always belonged in the space.
Architectural Woodwork
Custom wood elements designed as part of the architecture of a space- including wall paneling, screens, trim, fireplace surrounds, and other specialty millwork.
Our Process
01 — Consultation
We discuss your ideas, priorities, budget, timeline, and the space itself to establish the project's scope and overall direction.
02 — Proposal & Contract
Once the direction is established, we prepare a detailed proposal defining the scope, pricing, and terms.
03 — Design & Shop Drawings
We refine the proportions, materials, hardware, finishes, and construction details before fabrication begins.
04 — Fabrication
Once the design is approved, your project is built in my Portland shop specifically for your space.
05 — Installation
We install the finished work and coordinate with your designer, contractor, or other trades when needed.
